Free whitepaper – Enhancing retail operations with unified communications
Skype is reportedly set to imminently release an iPhone version of its VoIP service.
According to GigaOM, the eBay-owned service could announce an application for the iPhone as soon as next week, during the wireless CTIA tradeshow in Las Vegas that starts on 1 April.
However, Skype declined to comment on the speculative report.
Skype already offers a Windows Mobile version of its P2P voice and IM client. In January this year the company announced an Android version - dubbed Skype Lite - of its service.
The outfit also hinted earlier this year that an iPhone client was in the works, too. ®
